During the racially-charged summer of 1971, Ann Atwater, a civil rights activist, and C.P. Ellis, a local Ku Klux Klan leader, reluctantly co-chair a community summit on the desegregation of schools in Durham, N.C. The ensuing debate and battle soon lead to surprising revelations that change both of their lives forever. Based on a true story, THE BEST OF ENEMIES is a timely drama starring Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson (Best Supporting Actress, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, 2008) and Academy Award winner Sam Rockwell (Best Supporting Actor, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, 2017).
