Great movie with a big hear and very real portrayal of any relationship this one just happens to be interracial. It's thought-provoking and examines the ways we percieve other races to be and typically we are wrong. The ones that are whining about how it makes fun of white people are obviously Trump supporters who are evidently delusional and wouldnt know the difference between Titanic and Sharknado 5. Very well acted, very well written, and very well directed hence the Oscar nomination! Not stupid comedy like Adam Sandler farting and falling everywhere.

Fun movie. Despite it being right there in the description, I feel like many reviewers here are unaware that this story is actually true(Well, MOSTLY true, like 90% true...). This is the story of how My mail and his wife courted and the struggles they endured. It may seem overly stereotypical to use terrorist stereotype jokes, but that IS what he was up against as a Pakistani in America. If it isn't funny, maybe we should do something about it...

Interesting story about semi-fresh material. I don't often hear about the struggles of people born into Muslim families who do not resonate with the firmly-held faith and traditions of their parents. Coupled with the drama of the relationship between Kumail and Emily, Emily's illness, and her parents' relationship with each other, Kumail, and Emily, it helps to show the troubles we face as humans, both relationally and physically, and the humor within the mess.
