Lucille Ball's FIRST leading role in a movie during her final years at RKO. Damon Runyon's story weaves its way around your heart and carries with it a long list of some of Hollywood's BEST character players in film. As with all Runyon stories, this one involves the underworld of New York City and Miami and shows you the biggest group of crooks with a heart so big it will make you laugh. It is a sweet story. Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball provide a winning performance, only to be repeated nearly 30 years later in "Yours, Mine and Ours". Take a chance on this forgotten movie... the ending will knock you out completely! Who would ever think that the handsome Henry Fonda could ever play a mousey busboy named "Pinks"? But here he is.
