While Bodega Bay looks nothing like presented in the film, time and location stand-ins have changed in the last 50 years, the sheer excitement and "feeling" one gets from this movie is lasting. Melanie Daniels stalks her crush, but is attacked by a flock of birds. What ensues for the next few days is a town in terror, blaming her for the attacks and a love story that never really is fully explained. While the movie is left very open ended and does not have a happy ending in the slightest, the villain (the birds themselves) getting away with murder is why I love this movie. That and Tupsa - Tippi Hedren is the hottest thing ever.
