In an effort to crack the high-profile case, Bleichert and Blanchard venture into Hollywood's darker side to piece together Short's secret life.

After reading everything I have been able to about the Black Dahlia, and listening to the FBI tapes available through the FOI Act, I can say that this movie--and this pathetic book, based entirely on the author's fantasies--is not about the Black Dahlia. In addition to that set of factual tidbits, it would be nice if Kodak could have its film back. Unwatchable.

The protaganist's investigation of a ghastly murder results in disillusionment & despair.
