From the cover picture and advertisement of this film I didn't think that it would be my cup of tea; however, after a few friends commented on how much they enjoyed watching it I decided to give it a go.......and I am so glad that I did! Beautifully made film that is both heart-warming and heart-breaking. Truly thought-provoking film that keeps you interested from start to finish and ideal for both males and females. If you think like I did that this film does not look like a film you usually go for....give it a go, it may well suprise you

I don't know how anyone can give this movie less than 5 stars. The casting couldn't have been better. This story gives the view from the German perspective of the 2nd world war. It left me with a greater understanding of the personal cost of war...on both sides plus good entertainment.
