The Bride of Frankenstein is often considered superior to the film it is a sequel to, and I have to agree with that assessment. Karloff manages to bring some genuine, if limited, pathos to the character of the monster, but the real joy is with the villain Dr. Pretorious (Ernest Thesiger). With his trapezoid of white hair atop his angular features, he easily inhabits a role he clearly relishes. Humorously macabre, the film isn't necessarily scary but it is thoroughly entertaining. Lastly the editing and cinematography, not to mention the elaborate set design, are a real treat for lovers of old Hollywood. Watch it with your friends!

A great classic. Brittany, that would have made a "dumb" title for the movie. We all know, and I'm sure the people who made the movie knew, it's Frankenstein monster. Duh.
