Naval Reservist Harry Brubaker (William Holden) can. This masterful story of a war-weary World War II veteran who must leave his family to fight again combines moving drama with surefire, bombs-away aerial action. Also starring Grace Kelly as his loving, luminescent wife.

Superb, but as in real War, such a tragic ending! Excellent plot and character development! He does his job well, as a reluctant hero in an often forgotten conflict. Exceptional, ultra realistic (no CG) special effects, of bombing scenes - of jets attacking bridges and secondary targets. I've TRIED, but FAILED to see HOW they did these scenes so well! Scenes used in other war movies. No wonder this movie got Awards!😉

One of the best ever war dramas with great action and stirring storyline.
