With luck, a love like that happens to some of us sooner or later. For Robert and Francesca, it was later. And it was glorious.

I wanted her to be happy with Clint, but a marriage is a commitment. She didn't need to break it and cause her family to be heart broken. She did the right thing, I think. I don't condon adultery, but at least she got to experience what it feels like to be loved and appreciated if only for a little while. An experience I believe she cherished!

Even though having an affair is not right I find myself drawn to this love story, you cant control who you fall in or out of love with married or not married its just done so well done, in the end you wish it ends the way you want but on the other hand family is more important, to have love and lost is better to not have loved at all.

This is a real heartbreaking movie. I love Merrill Streep and also Clint Eastwood. Some say the movie made it look like having a brief affair was wrong, but she chose to stay with her husband and children even though she lived with a broken 💔. She fought her feelings by not leaving with Robert. Sometimes true love never comes. This is a tear jerker of a movie. I love it,
