About this movie

From the internationally acclaimed Oscar- nominated writer of Babel and 21 Grams comes a film about redemption that weaves together four parallel lives. Charlize Theron is a restaurant manager whose professional demeanour masks the sexually charged storm within; a young girl lives happily with her father in Mexico until a tragic accident changes everything; two teenagers find love in the aftermath of their parents' sudden deaths and a lonely housewife (Kim Basinger) embarks on a passionate affair that entwine all four characters on an irrevocable collision course. 2008 2929 Productions. This film by Writer Guillermo Arriaga is what we have come to expect from his stories - honest, painful yet hopeful. Basinger is brilliant and Theron and Lawrence both give strong and convincing performances. A few poor choices in scenes and support casting reveal it’s Arriaga’s directional debut, however, most of it is driven home thoughtfully and powerfully.

I saw it first in the cinema. What a cast with, across the board, great acting… And the plot twists - OMG
