Moved by an anonymous Christmas card sent to the front lines of Afghanistan, lonely career militarist Cody Cullen travels to the small California town of Nevada City to meet the card’s sender, Faith Spelman. Once there he finds himself welcomed into Faith’s family and falling in love with her—despite the fact that she has a boyfriend and that Cody has yet to reveal the fateful set of circumstances that brought him there.

Low rent version of The Lucky One. The actress needs a few more lessons; community theater quality acting. The male lead was slightly more convincing. However neither really sold it. This makes literally any of the Hallmark Countdown to Christmas movies look like Shakespeare.

Love this movie! Purchased the video so I can watch it whenever I need to but I still catch it when it comes on tv. Enjoy all Hallmark movies on our veterans but tired of the ones with "the prince". I absolutely love my Hallmark channels. Thanks!

This movie is a favorite of mine for so many reasons. The first being I come from a family of Vets, the second I have always loved me some Ed Asner! Especially as he got older, he was like great wine that just got better with time! I was so sad to hear of his passing only a little shy of 4 months today. To his family I give my deepest condolences! Ed was the perfect grandpa, he made me smile and cry! Happy Holidays to everyone who had a hand in this movie!
