The Collector follows the story of handyman and ex-con Arkin, who aims to repay a debt to his ex-wife by robbing his new employer's country home. Unfortunately for Arkin, a far worse enemy has already laid claim to the property - and the family. As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked "Collector" in a maze of lethal invention - the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg - while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob.

3 and a half out of 5. This is one disturbing trip to take. It has some really cool kills and definitely deliver s on scares but is very disturbing at times. I saw The Collection which I got to watch again but I guess what I didn't realize was that there was one before that, this one. There is even a horrific animal death, before that... Oooof. So be careful. I can't reccomend due to certain scenes and laungauge but there are still some less disturbing kills... I guess less disturbing.

I Rate this ok to rather good. Relatively high budget for a horror film. Keeps you interested and thinking throughout. Decent ending, I'd say worth the watch.

This is gruesome and repellent but strangely enough it gets tedious! The thing to watch for is the terrific cat and mouse game between the burgler and the crazie.
