No, it's not perfect, but Redford's directorial effort is an enjoyable two hours. The cast of mostly seventy-something actors is remarkable. Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon and Redford himself stand out. Shia LeBouf is the only weakness as he is contrasted against true masters of the acting craft. Recommended.

Terrifically written and directed. Good twists, good acting. I have to ask, please help. I've watched this movie twice in two days. I love this movie, but I'm not that used to thrillers. Why did Susan Sarandon turn herself in? Did she, even? How come the Mimi Murray person had the power to exonerate him? I'm still confused. At the end, why did the AP get the story before our journalist hero? I feel dumb. I love it, but I don't get it. Even the promo story doesn't get it. Redford's on the run from the FBI!
