I think the creators thought, "Wow Battle Royale is awesome but no way American audiences can handle high school kids being forced to kill each other," so they scaled it up to this. ***** Then Hunger Games came out. Lol.

Great movie. Absolutely entertaining, but, would like the buy option rather than just rent.
