Based on a true story, The Conjuring tells the suspenseful tale of Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson), world renowned paranormal investigators, who were called to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives, after working such cases as the Amityville Horror and the Haunting in Connecticut.

Calificaciones y opiniones

Before, I didn't like watching it because it isn't that scary and the sound effects to make you 'even scarier' was annoying for me (it's still annoying even in recent movies, maybe that's just its style, I guess 🤷‍♀️). But when I felt like watching a marathon of horror movies one day, I tried giving Conjuringverse a shot again, and I LOVE IT now. Watching this, I disregarded the scare factor, and just focused on the story itself because it is based on a true story of the Warrens.

Este genero necesita directores como James Wan y Scott Derrickson, no serán los más originales del genero, pero logran sus objetivos. Y es que es difícil crear algo original para el genero actualmente, por lo menos, si se van a usar tópicos del genero, que se usen con talento. En esta gran película James Wan (Saw, Insidious), usa recursos muy explotados en el genero, pero con mucha sabiduría, lo que lleva esta película, a ser la mejor de su genero en los últimos años (al menos para mi lo es)

Una tipica pelicula de terror. Pero con James Wan detras. La pelicula esta bien ambientada, y tiene actuacciones descentes. Pero no tiene mucho mas, la fotografia es muy simplona y algo pobre, los planos muy efectistas y nada personales, la trama cliche a mas no poder, no transmite terror mediante el ambiente sino con puros scremers (y eso no me gusta, los scremers no son de mi agrado si se utilizan de forma abusiva), y el final flojo. Pero dentro de todo entretiene. Esta okey pero es mediocre
