I love this movie, but don't expect it to convey the complexities and character of the novel in 2hrs. It's a simple romantic and entertaining take on a much more intriguing story.

Still one of my fave films of all time. This movie has great action - without the OTT cgi or explosions. There is romance - without the porn like scenes & drama... oh the drama! The cast is also wonderful! You have the guys who played Dumbledore, Jesus & Superman... plus Mike Young from neighbours! I've never read the book & the first time I saw this film over 10yrs ago, I watched it without knowing anything about Monte Cristo. I'm glad this was available to purchase 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Recommend to anyone. One of ny favourite movies of all time.
