About this movie

From the producers of The Purge and Insidious, comes this terrifying supernatural thriller starring Kevin Bacon (TV’s The Following) and Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill). When their young son (David Mazouz, TV’s Gotham) brings home five mystical stones he found on their family’s camping trip to the Grand Canyon, Peter (Bacon) and Bronny (Mitchell) begin to notice strange things happening in their house. Having awakened dark forces bound to the rocks, the family fights for survival as malicious demons feed off their fears and threaten to destroy them. Just finished watching The Darkness. There is so much wrong with this movie but where to begin. I'm a Kevin Bacon fan for sure, I've enjoyed all his movies I've ever seen but this had to be the very first film that really let me down. They also stole some elements from Poltergeist which I was not very fond of at all. This movie was very dull and dragged on quite a bit. Rating I have to give it a two out of 10. Don't go out of your way to try and watch this. Also the desert scene opening, while nice, reminded me of another movie I once saw..... oh yea, The Hills Have Eyes. Coincidence of another borrowed scene...... hmmmmm (?)

I really just don't care much for Kevin Bacon. He usually plays the BAD GUY...Think I saw him in about 2 decent movies. That's pretty sad, seeing that he has been in so many productions that would otherwise be Very Good had he not been casted. Watch the Movie HOT ROD😆. Love the Punch Dance giving tribute to "Flash Dance!" Apollo13 was pretty good. A Director's Actor...!😝😧

Not that great, it was kind a all over the place in the begging... nothing original about this movie, some kid take random objects that bring spirits to a house is been done million times before and than they tie it up with some random indian whatevee story they pulled out of their butts half way through the movie? Seen better low budgets than this, it does get more intense towards the end but thats as good as it gets.
