Acerca de esta película

Blockbuster Director, Renny Harlin (DIE HARD 2, CLIFFHANGER) brings one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of the 20th century to the big screen -- the controversial Dyatlov Pass Incident. In February of 1959, nine Russian hikers ventured into a remote area of the Ural Mountains in Russia. Two weeks later, all nine were found dead. Now, five ambitious American college students are issued a grant to return to the site of the original events in the belief that they can uncover and document the truth of what happened at Dyatlov's Pass. But what they find is more shocking than anything they could have imagined. Their trek through the Ural Mountains, retracing the steps of that ill-fated journey, is plagued by strange and increasingly terrifying phenomena, all of which suggest that in spite of their desolate surroundings, they are not alone. The forces behind the Dyatlov Pass Incident have been waiting for them.

I didn't really like the movie. The acting was really amateur, the CGI monsters looked stupid and nothing really happens. I mean not really when you think about what you saw. Well, stuff happens but since the acting is all so fake nothing has any impact. Also the main female character's annoying with her constantly acting like some kind of reporter or movie maker. It's like her acting teacher just told her to always talk in a high pitch and always have a "c'mon guys" attitude. Like a mascot.

I really enjoyed this because it is based on a mysterious true story but it has more of a nature/survival kind of theme, it's not the Blair Witch project at all (I wouldn't like it if it was) but if you look into the risks of glacial camping there are some plausible explanations. Sort of. ..which is what makes this worth watching. Watch it before you research the real incident.

This movie is one of the best found footage films I've seen. It's better than Blaire witch project! They really have done their research as they include nearly every piece of information known about the original incident and they incorporate well into the story. Would watch again.
