This documentary-style programme, recorded during Freddie's record-breaking 1985 double championship year, is a fascinating blend of motorcycle development and racing from way back to the 'roaring twenties', featuring the early beginnings and growth of the mammoth Honda empire - and one of Honda’s greatest riders - Freddie Spencer.

This programme includes footage from “Fast Freddie’s” brilliant 1985 season, when he achieved the magic double by winning the 500cc and 250cc Grand Prix World Championship crowns on Rothmans Hondas.

It opens with the 250 event and concludes with the 500 race at Le Mans, where Spencer outraced such talent as Anton Mang, Randy Mamola and Christian Sarron on his Rothmans Honda NSR500.

Between the races you watch enthralling archive material featuring a mini-history of early motorcycle development and racing interlinked with the beginnings and growth of the mammoth Honda empire up to the 1980s.
