James (Ryan O'Nan) returns from combat in Iraq emotionally unstable and suffering from amnesia. Though his wife (America Ferrera), mother (Melissa Leo) and friend (Jason Ritter) provide support, his increasingly violent behavior makes it difficult for him to reintegrate into his old life. Desperate to regain control, he sets off on a journey with fellow soldier Raymond (Wilmer Valderrama) to find out exactly what happened during the devastating mission that claimed the life of two of his comrades.
