Bianca's (Mae Whitman) universe turns upside down when she learns that her high school refers to her as a ‘DUFF' (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Hoping to erase that label, she enlists the help of a charming jock (Robbie Amell) and her favorite teacher (Ken Jeong). Together they'll face the school's mean girl (Bella Thorne) and remind everyone that we are all someone's DUFF… and that's totally fine.

3.5 Stars. I liked the movie it's cute and the main's character development is great. It's just the story was feeling very rehashed toward the end. I also didn't like how it seemed that someone came in at the last moment and flipped the script for how things turned out with Bianca's crush. Lot's of wasted potential for this to be more than a cliche story. Even so it's at least worth a watch. Definitely not something I can see myself wanting to rewatch.

I really enjoyed the story. I think Robbie Amell was not the guy to play Wesley. Bianca is someone I knew in high school and would have been friends with. I like the message about not labeling people or abiding by someone else's label for you. Bianca and Wesley really didn't have a lot of chemistry. Their friendship felt authentic. I watched this movie on show box and free is always a good price.

Honestly, I thought this movie was going to suck and just trying to be a modern mean girls. But I actually really enjoyed it. Great acting, funny, great story. It's dirtier and less mean than Mean Girls, but overall a fresh story. The only I didnt like about the movie is Bella Thornes bad acting. It felt like she was trying too hard to be mean instead of it being natural. I would deffinetly recommend this movie.
