Action Comedy based on the hit television series that ran from 1979-85. Set in present day, The Dukes of Hazzard follows the adventures of "good old boy" cousins Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke (Johnny Knoxville) Duke, who with the help of their eye-catching cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and moonshine-running Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson), try and save the family farm from being destroyed by Hazzard County's corrupt commissioner Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds). Their efforts constantly find the "Duke Boys" eluding authorities in "The General Lee," their famed 1969 orange Dodge Charger that keeps them one step ahead of the dimwitted antics of the small southern town's Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey).

Okay, so let's talk about Jessica Simpson haha. Just wow. All I can say since I have never viewed the TV show going is that this is one of the many times that critics were wrong. All the cast had perfect roles for their characters. The Dukes' sabotage plans: genius. The soundtrack: killer! This is a film perfect for a bucket of popcorn at home Saturday night. And seeing country great Willie Nelson act so vulgar really surprised me. And in a way that made me laugh my a** off. Underrated gem.

ONLY good anything is Willie Nelson. The All-of-it is skunk roadkill... It maybe the dead skunk stink on a hot day is easier to take for 120 minutes than this *film for 103. *Like oily scum on top sewage effluent. Mic • Cl;-(~ Ririe, Idaho • PS Also MMike & TSBolts said it right.

I cannot recall when I saw this movie at the theater but I thought it would be just like the tv series and it was not. The person that was with me, she thought it was also crummy and we both did NOT like it. The tv series was good clean at times funny entertainment where as the movie was absolutely not.
