It is a very good movie but it was not filmed in the Smokies. It was filmed in a town located 2 hours West of Quebec. It said 4 days of filming was done in Tennessee but doesn't say where.

The heart beat of love can move mountains. It shows our roots run deep. Simplicity of this family is togetherness and being appreciative of what God gives them....

Watched this with my grandad years ago. It touched me in a way I can't explain. My grandad would tell me stories on my Cherokee heritage and I always thought of this movie. I was very young then. I looked all over for this movie so I could watch it again. Now I'm 21 and its still one of my favorite movies. I recommend to anyone. 5 stars.
