About this movie

Father Peter Williams, an American exorcist, hides a shocking secret: possessed by a demon he was trying to expel, he committed a terrible sacrilege. To atone for this sin, Peter devotes his life to charity work in a small town in Mexico. Eighteen years later, his deeply buried secret comes to light when the demon from his past returns, possessing a girl and unleashing a deadly disease. Now Peter must choose between saving his own soul and saving the people he loves most in one final, epic battle against the evil within.

Ratings and reviews

Maybe I'm biased because I will always see any exorcism movie through the lens of the original The Exorcist with Linda Blaire....this one was just not good. It had humor that felt odd....I liked The Exorcism of Emily Rose much more.

I also compare all possession movies to the original exorcist because still today I am unable to watch it in its entirety and not one movie has really come close. This movies was scary in the beginning and then okay to watch the story play out. Not terrible.

Not the most terrible movie ever.... Definitely not the next EXORCIST...that is a classic....ijs I would give this movie an E for effort!! A few ok moments in this movie ... Horror movies are just not the same anymore. I loved horror movies in the 70s and 80s and maybe even the 90s....horror movies nowadays are lackluster at best ...most of the time!!
