In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney, Christmas and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks, who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks, subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill, or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables, but Barney has other plans. He decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. After watching the first two, which I quite enjoyed, this one just destroyed the trilogy for me. They dumbed it down so that they could acquire a PG-13 (US) / M (AU) rating obviously to try and appeal to younger audiences. I didn't exactly expect an in-depth plot, but this just went nowhere fast. Unlike the first two, this was actually pretty boring. Nice effects, and that's about it. Very disappointed. Would have given it one star had it not been for said effects.

The first film was great, the second had its moments, but this one is utter crap. The acting is terrible and the storyline is relatively non existent. One part of the group seem to exist only as a plot device. And some people ham it up a bit too much. Don't waste your money.

Ugh. The charm of watching old action stars doing cool stunts is gone after the first act; replaced by a bunch of randoms and blurry editing that turns R rated content into a G rated oil painting of a motion picture.
