In the 1970s and '80s, Tammy Faye and her husband, Jim Bakker (Andrew Garfield), rose from humble beginnings to create the world's largest religious broadcasting network and theme park. At first, they were revered for their messages of love, acceptance and prosperity. All the while, Tammy Faye was legendary for her indelible eyelashes, idiosyncratic singing, and eagerness to embrace people from all walks of life. However, it wasn't long before financial improprieties, scheming rivals, and scandal toppled their carefully constructed empire. Directed by Michael Showalter and written by Abe Sylvia, THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE also features Cherry Jones and Vincent D'Onofrio.

Evangelicals are the true evil they use God as a tool, but yet they themselves don't follow the Bible they keep getting richer and make from the poor. They don't do God work they do man work for personal gain!

The cast did an amazing job! The story presented few new details. But, if you aren't familiar with the public story it might be interesting. Sadly greed, lust, betrayal and hypocrisy are human regardless of faith, party or affilation.

Really amazing. It is beautifully done or mostly beautifully done in telling a scandal that happened in history and has the best performance of 2021 in Jessica Chastain. I love the makeup and hairstyling and the film as a whole. It is inspiring, touching, and crazy! A shocking emotional film.
