I've always been a Fast and Furious fan, and I now understand why this took place after the events in the 6th movie cause I saw Han on Fast and Furious (2009). I agree with Brent Reeser, and the track that was playing when Sean met Dominic in Tokyo and when the Crew had a cookout in F&F6, it just makes sense. Overall, nice movie.

Ok, so many people are messing up the order of the franchise. This is not a prequel, and it is not 3rd in the series as made. It is actually 7th in the series. If you watch Fast & Furious 6, watch Tokyo Drift next. Hahn says he is leaving for Tokyo at the end of 6, and he is there in the next movie. It doesn't take much to figure this stuff out, people.

Hans' name was only mentioned briefly so how can anyone say this is a prequel to anything. This movie doesn't advance the storyline in anyway but comes off more like an intermission from the main franchise and characters. Some of those comments below have misleading reviews.
