In early 18th-century England, a frail Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) occupies the throne and her closest friend, Lady Sarah (Rachel Weisz), governs the country while tending to Anne’s health. When new servant Abigail (Emma Stone) arrives, Sarah takes Abigail under her wing as she cunningly schemes to return to her aristocratic roots, setting off an outrageous rivalry to become the Queen’s favourite.

I think the movie was well done and well acted. However, i just didn't really like it. It was so strange and not at all what I expected. I'm disappointed I wasted 6.99 to rent it.

This is an excellent and refreshing film. I haven't seen anything like this in a very long time. Unusual and surprising, and although intellectual, not overly so. The acting is absolutely superb. Reactions of all three leads are completely natural and almost seem improvised at moments. Wonderful use of baroque music as well as very interesting 21st century music which seamlessly blends with the old. Quirky and funny, heartbreaking and sexy, highlighting the insane decadence of this period, its as complete as a movie can get.

Fantastic film, however it says here in the description that it comes with captions, I'd love if you guys would add these. There is no reason why a film shouldn't, thanks
