Teave selle filmi kohta

Join the Club - The First Wives Club, the good-time battle-of-the-sexes satire sparked by snappy one-liners, great physical-comedy gags and three unforgettable stars in top form. Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton portray mid-life Manhattanites who have more than a longtime friendship in common. After years of helping their hubbies climb the ladder of success, each has been dumped for a newer, curvier model. But the trio is determined to turn their pain into gain. They come up with a cleverly devious plan to hit their exes where it really hurts - in the wallet! Sit back and watch the sparks fly as The Wives get mad, get even and get it all. Justice has seldom been so sweet. Or so much fun.

While it's nearly your by-the-numbers, "Ex-wives get revenge" comedy; it does have a positive outcome other than just getting back at those that hurt them. The writing can make certain problems disappear a little too easily, but this film is about having fun so if you don't analyze it too closely and just focus on the performances you'll be in for a good time. (FYI, LBGTQ positive film (for the 1990's) and though this is a PG film a character does commit suicide off-camera.)

Definitely in the top 5 of my personal top 10 favorite movies of all times. I've watched this a gazillion times, and I could watch it a gazillion more. They say the ending of a movie either makes it or breaks it. Well this has one of THE best endings I've ever seen. Wish there were more movies like this.

One of mine and my Grandma's favorite movies since I was a child. Full of laughs and some heartwarming scenes, with a great story and an even better ending. I highly recommend for anyone going through a rough time! Its a great perk up and motivator for me!
