Federal agent Errol Babbage (Richard Gere) has spent years tracking down sex offenders. Now in the process of training up his replacement, Allison (Claire Danes), his world is turned upside down when a 17 year old girl disappears and Babbage is convinced that the culprit is one of the men he previously captured. When his superiors don't agree with him, Errol and Allison must go it alone and enter a dangerous underworld of pornography and abduction to bring a sadistic criminal to justice.
