Энэ киноны тухай

Yesterday, today, tomorrow. Past, present, future. Through time and space, one man embarks on a bold 1000-year odyssey to defeat humankind's most indomitable foe: Death. Hugh Jackman plays that man, devoted to one woman (Rachel Weisz) and determined to protect her from forces that threaten her existence. His quest leads him to a Tree of Life...and to an adventure into eternity. Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem for a Dream) directs, continuing his string of imaginative, involving filmmaking with a tale alive with ideas and filled with astonishing vistas. "Not many films can blow your mind and break your heart at the same time, but this one will" (Drew McWeeny, Ain't It Cool News).

But that's okay, as it is phenomenally acted and the premise is rather neat. It's a science fiction movie without being sci-fi (you can thank cable TV for turning the genre into that). It probably also wouldn't hurt to watch the movie at least twice to pick up on some things you invariably miss the first time since it jumps around a lot. A beautiful movie that isn't clear cut, so watch it with an open mind.

American film director, Darren Aronofsky, hit the nail on the head with The fountain. Its about life, death, love and loss, and is quite a piece of art. You will not escape the warm browns and golds, and when you do, it transitions into a stark blinding white. The Fountain has an intricate story line that skips around confusing the viewer to hide a flawed narrative. Although The Fountain is flawed, it is still a masterpiece. Hugh Jackman, known for his role as wolverine on X-Men, and Rachel Weisz, known for Eragon and The Deep Blue Sea, were a stunning couple. The love, loss, obsession, and then finally acceptance portrayed by Jackman was a stellar performance in its self and the love, fear, and acceptance illustrated by Weisz was nothing short of amazing. The Fountains ending leaves the viewer with mixed emotions from the questions that were never answered to the questions never asked. The story holds up and you will always find something new every time you watch it so go ahead and re watch it as many times as you would like. -SirO Reviews

Same director as Black Swan, Pi and Requiem. This movie moves slowly. It is not for people with Hollywood induced ADD. Hugh Jackman gives the best performance of his life in a somber and serious role. But cheer up. This is the Aronofsky film with a happy ending. It's the only one so far. And visually, it exceeds any other sci-fi film in the last 10 year's. Only one scene is CGI. The rest is done with macrophotography of cells giving it a look you have to see.
