Faced with the reality that their dream home is just out of reach, young lovers Humphrey Briggs (Eddie Albert, Oklahoma! and TV's "Green Acres") and Sally Elliot (Lucille Ball, Yours, Mine and Ours and TV's "I Love Lucy") decide that her opportunity lies in door-to-door cosmetics sales. But when the bumbling Sally stumbles upon a murder in progress, she becomes the number one suspect. In fleeing the police, Sally and Humphrey attempt to track down the real killers and find themselves in one comic mix-up after another. Directed by Lloyd Bacon, this fast-paced slapstick comedy shows Lucille at her best, just a year before her culture-changing turn as the most famous scatterbrained wife on television. I TRIED TO SEE THE TRAILOR, BUT A MESSAGE POPPED UP SAYING THAT IT COULD NOT BE OPEN, BECAUSE IT IS "AGE RESTRICTED." WELL AS OF YESTERDAY, i TURNED TO THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 74... SO WHAT AGE MUST ONE BE TO WATCH THIS TRAILOR? AND WHERE CAN I FIND A PLACETO ENTER MY AGE? i COULD'T FIND ONE. SO I'M NOT SURE IF I WANTED TO PURCHASE OR NOT. I GAVE IT ONE STAR BUT i DON'T HATE IT BUT THAT'S MY ONLY OPTION BECAUSE THIS HAD TO BE RATED. SO I GAVE IT 1 STAR.

This little comedy gem will delight Lucille Ball fans - especially 'I Love Lucy' ones, and aren't they one in the same? What's most enjoyable and fascinating is how much this was a kind of forerunner for Lucy Ricardo. In the flick, Lucy plays a zany gal who will do anything to realize her goals - including putting on elaborately hilarious disguises. Sound familiar? If the 'I Love Lucy' writers didn't use 'The Fuller Brush" girl at least as a sort of inspirational guide, when crafting Lucy's wacky entanglements, I'd be surprised. Eddie Albert plays a solid co-hort throughout this wonderful, breezy film. Highly recommended.

Anything Lucille Ball plays in, is just Fabulous!!!!
