We went to see this as a family. My daughter and I were already 100%!ant based but I wanted my boys to see it as they were a little worried about the plant based lifestyle. They were both transfixed with the facts and evidence. I am so glad we went my 22 and 25 year old have said they are vegan for life as they want to be as healthy as possible and don’t want to pull pop to prolong life but be sick! It is factual but with plenty of humorous bits. These guys are all fit, strong and healthy and that’s all anyone wants to be. It is an amazing documentary. We have also bought the digital download so we can watch it again at our leisure. Well worth the money of you don’t want to sacrifice your health believing all the false advertising! Love it. Thank you to everyone who took part.

The film aims to prove that a vegan diet is healthier than a mixed diet and that it also has a performance-enhancing effect. The filmmakers placed more emphasis on eliciting emotional impact than the proper scientific background. In making a documentary of this volume, it would be of paramount importance to process the topic with real scientific rigor, to present the topic thoroughly, based on high-level evidence study results. Instead, ‘The Game Changers’ only includes research that is conducive to the message they want to convey that a vegan (plant based) diet is better in all respects than a diet containing animal-derived foods. However, it cannot be stated that a vegan diet would be more beneficial in terms of maintaining health or sports performance than a balanced omnivore diet. The film's opening message is based on the fact that the gladiators' teeth and bones show that they ate only plant-based foods, no meat, and they use their diet to prove the performance-enhancing effects of a vegan diet. James Wilks backs this up with a 'study', but the pseudo-scientific nature of this is also evident here, as he refers to a popular science paper rather than a scientific article (6). What is the truth about the gladiators' diet? The gladiators were not celebrated 'super-warriors' in their day, but prisoners of war, convicted criminals or poor people who would have faced death for food. They were in poor physical condition, and by the time they got to the arena they had to be 'fattened up', because gladiators with a higher fat mass were difficult to 'fatten up'. were harder to kill. And the shortest and cheapest way to do this was to was a diet rich in carbohydrates, because eating meat would have been a luxury. And the list goes on... It's hilarious how they try to impose their own "creed" with half-truths taken out of context, based on narrow samples of research. It is ridiculous.

I have been waiting for this for so long. Bought it and just watched it, as a vegan. And my review is that it is nothing. It took so long to release nothing. It is so boring I fell asleep. I had so much expectations for that documentary, and after watching it, it is like I watched nothing. Cowspiracy, What the health, Forks over knives, are so much more well done and worth to watch than than nothing documentary. I am sorry James, you worked on that for many years, but the result is very very bad.
