Über diesen Film

Can you really go through life having never wronged anyone? Even if you are unaware of how, or when, and even who you may have wronged… chances are there is someone out there who won’t ever forget it…or you. Simon (Jason Bateman) and Robyn (Rebecca Hall) are a young married couple whose life is going just as planned until a chance encounter with an acquaintance from Simon’s high school sends their world into a harrowing tailspin. Simon doesn’t recognize Gordo (Joel Edgerton) at first, but after a series of uninvited encounters and mysterious gifts prove troubling, a horrifying secret from the past is uncovered after more than 20 years. As Robyn learns the unsettling truth about what happened between Simon and Gordo, she starts to question: how well do we really know the people closest to us, and are past bygones ever really bygones? From the producer of Whiplash and The Purge, Jason Blum, comes a chilling psychological thriller that marks the feature directorial debut of acclaimed actor and writer Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, Zero Dark Thirty, Warrior). Wanted to like this a lot since I saw the trailer which looked different, and some reviews out giving it a good rating. Was truly hoping for the different twist ending, but just didn't pan out for me other than simply one guy hurting other guy explanation. This movie completely lost me. Didn't understand the whole premise of the bullying aspect in this movies' explanation for a character's motive. I didn't see or feel any harsh treatment portrayed in the way one character was treated in this movies' past.

It appears that someone(s) set out inspired to motivate a grouping of talent from left to right and bottom to top; with no puns intended. The versatile and trivial pieces of this embedded twist of rock and stone, sand and gravel, allows the water to lead you directly into the story itself. The characters and embodiment only seem to become larger as the intense plot breath new life as good vs evil commend themselves. I must say I'm a fan and kudos to the team and director.

I love Jason Bateman, so I really wanted to see this movie. But it's not that good. Starts out very slow. It has a few creepy parts, but absolutely hated the ending. Not Jason's best film, though he did a great job acting in this movie. But I wouldn't watch it again.
