Bill, a widowed comic strip artist, is devoted to his work and raising his ten-year-old son Joe. That is until a lovely young nightclub star, Jeannie, moves in next door. When Bill and Jeannie fall in love, their newfound romance threatens Bill's relationship with Joe. But with a little help from their friends, Bill and Jeannie just might win Joe's approval and come together as a happy family.
