Acerca de esta película

Director Coppola paints a chilling portrait of the Sicilian clan's rise and near fall from power in America, masterfully balancing the story between the Corleone's family life and the ugly crime business in which they are engaged.

A brilliantly engrossing movie. Great acting from both Brando and Pacino. Does have a bit of a jumpy storyline but it soon pulls together. Definately the second best in the trilogy.

Personally, I'm profoundly deaf, I really want to watch some films via my Samsung s3. I'm very disappointed with the devices as it doesn't say if these films have subtitles or not. :(

Just about everyone I know says that this is the best movie ever... is it? I don't really know, there are a lot of very good movies out there, I've seen a few but I'm not an expert so I really can't say, but I think it must come close. I do think that it's probably the most iconic, with perhaps the best story I've watched in a movie. There's something Homeric about the story, perhaps because there is some historic context there, rather like the Iliad. In terms of production/direction, style, photography etc. it's a first. There's no doubt this movie is hugely influential. There are moments, especially with the acting, where you can say, yeh' Scorsese used that 1940s New York mood, setting and environment in 'Raging Bull', like with the beating of Carlo by Sonny, but there are other moments where you can say, OK Coppola took that piece of action from 'Bonny and Clyde', like with Sonny's death in a hail of bullets. However you see it this movie influenced the best, by using the best influences, but is it the best? Well I do think it's the best New Hollywood movie of that era, and even that is saying a lot. It's the best movie of its own time, sure. Five stars no problem man...
