Good overall cinematography and epic story and as usual with Zhang Yimou's movies, nice use of bold colors and contrast. Felt an understanding of Chinese culture and history will help one enjoy the story more. Don't question the storyline of why the monsters as it probably defied logic.

Entertaining movie. It's not a documentary film, so leave d Great Wall emotional attachment aside. It's a frictional story why the Great Wall was built....
