Jesus is portrayed by Max von Sydow in a difficult and highly praised performance. A huge all-star cast (including Charlton Heston as John the Baptist) animate the vast landscape of the film. First Jesus movie I saw as a child in Italian it got me interested in the life of Jesus the story moved me during the Crucifixion of Jesus telly savalas played Pilate max von sidow played Jesus hose ferrar herod Charlton Heston John the Baptist and other actors great movie rate 10

As we all know judas hanged himself and their seems to be some inconsistencies in this film plus max von sydow wasn't the right one for the role
