I love mid evil time movies but this is one of the worst movies ive ever seen. The plot was terrible and i payed 20 bucks to watch this. Its not worth 5 bucks. I dont see how in the world they can justify charging this much for such a low grade movie.And the one scene where the nobleman on the horse bends over and kisses the guy that was horrible. It dosent even fit in with what was going on just complete nonesense.

I was interested in this movie after seeing the trailer, then uninterested after reading viewer reviews. However, I watched it with my wife recently as something we thought would be in our shared interest. Both the critics and fans of this movie are right. It's incredibly beautiful. It's also INCREDIBLY slow. Deliberately, painfully, even "trolling the viewer" slow. And there are too many darkly lit scenes. Still, it's haunting and beautiful. So, if that's your jam...

This movie probably isn't what you expect it to be unless you've read the source material. But if you're willing to take it for what it is and allow yourself to be immersed by the hypnotic visuals and deeper meanings, you'll actually take a lot away from it. It's something that'll linger on your mind the more you think about it. Don't think of this as Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings. Maybe think of it more as the medieval fantasy version of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
