À propos de ce film

Based on the best-selling book by Sally Thorne, THE HATING GAME tells the story of ambitious good girl Lucy Hutton (Lucy Hale) pitted against her cold, efficient work nemesis, Joshua Templeton (Austin Stowell), for a huge promotion at publishing company Bexley & Gamin. Trapped in a shared office, Lucy embarks on a ruthless game of one-upmanship against Josh, a rivalry that turns increasingly complicated by her mounting attraction to him after an innocent elevator ride turns NSFW. Is it love or just another game in their never-ending pursuit for the top job?

I enjoyed the movie. I did read the book, multiple time, before watching it and can safely say I prefer the book. The movie was just missing the tension that ran through the whole book. The characters were great and the story was told, though a bit out of order, which could the reason for the missing tension. Honestly would give it more of a 3.5, but 4 works as well. Still love seeing my favorite characters come to life. However, the ending, was cheesy as hell.

The shortcake appears a good girl in early minutes of movie but after a call from sb she turn into a pro hooker how can this happen this soon , next matter is that this has a very week situation planning like most new movies , and lacks depth in different confrontation of characters , no comedy even dark comedy Exists, there are two sexually offending scenes one at 2/3 of duration and one in the early section

I read the book twice and listened to the audiobook; I would have rated this movie a 4-star if I haven’t. Lucy was on point for the lost part. Joshua Templeman, while he could look like he was described in the book, was not arrogant enough. The elevator scene was not the same; this was a climactic scene in the book and was a true testament to how assertive Joshua was. This was a bit disappointing. Overall, I still enjoyed the movie for the most part.
