The book is much better. In the movie alot of important parts are left out and the plot is different. If you haven't read the book, the movie should be fine but as I was watching it, all I could think about was the messed up plot and the movie was moving too fast compared to the book.

If you've read the book, you'll enjoy how closely this movie follows that story. I'm not sure if it works without reading the book, but having just read it, this felt so, so swoony, like reliving that reading experience, with visuals. Lucy Hale is perfect in this!
