Based on a chilling true story, THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT charts one family's terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover. boring and not legitimate demonic terror. Nothing comes close to the Excorcist, the Blair Witch Project is the best in 40 years though with almost no budget. This story is also false whenever the Warrens or other "experts" are brought to bear. This is nonsense. Sorry.

As a horror movie, it's meh. Cheap jump scares. Sub par directing. As a retelling of a true story, extremely frustratingly bad. Pointless changes to an actually scary story for nothing. It's just bad.

Best damn remake of an originally AWESOME film to begin with; I'm a firm believer that if one is going to attempt to re-do something already done by another, (films, music, etc.) then that one should do the remake, AT LEAST as well, or even better than the original - sticking to original plots, iconic/memorable scenes unchanged, except for the updates on time periods, and the use of advance technology to improve likelihood of success with remake! And that's PRECISELY the case with this movie! FAVORITE EVER
