About this movie

Horror master Wes Craven achieved critical and commercial success with the likes of Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street - but for many genre fans, the director's seminal effort The Hills Have Eyes remains his masterpiece. Taking a detour whilst on route to Los Angeles, the Carter family run into trouble when their campervan breaks down in the middle of the desert. Stranded, the family find themselves at the mercy of a group of monstrous cannibals lurking in the surrounding hills. With their lives under threat, the Carters are forced to fight back by any means necessary.

A great classic horror cannibal movie from the master of horror Wes craven this movie is very violent and is not recommended for the squeamish Wes craven would later go on to make the nightmare on elm Street movies and last house on the left another sick horror movie that was later banned by the British board of film censors during the video nasties furore.

Classic horror movie better than the remake just because it was made in the time of the exploitation, raw movies - I love the remake too, it's a superb movie & depends what mood I'm in as to which one I watch lol.
