And so the misadventures begin as he and fellow travelers, including the cool but dim-witted President of the Galaxy, the Earth girl Trillian, and Marvin the paranoid android, search for answers to the mystery of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Lacks the flow and humor of the book but could possibly be an average movie if your new to the story line.

Adaptation suffers from a high degree of Americanization but still remains entertaining. The original 1981 BBC television miniseries is the superior version.

Average movie. Seems to lack something that would bring it all together. I read the book after and found the humor to be more refined than the slapstick used in this.
