Academy Award® winners Tommy Lee Jones, Hilary Swank and Meryl Streep star in this action epic set in America’s West in the 1850’s. Mary Bee Cuddy is an independent frontier woman, living a life of solitude. When three women are declared insane by the local preacher (John Lithgow), she volunteers for the dangerous task of taking them to Ohio, where a minister’s wife is waiting for their lost souls. Along the way she stumbles across a reprobate claim-jumper, and agrees to save his life in exchange for his help. Together the unlikely pair are pushed to their limits as they traverse the harsh, untamed.

Slow dull and boring western, not what i was expecting from Tommy Lee Jones.

A little slow in parts, but we'll made western, very enjoyable.

Anything with Tommy in gets my vote, but despite that, this exudes quality.
