WTH was this mess? I mean...I am speechless. I can't tell if this was supposed to be some bougie artistic movie with some hidden meaning or if it was intended to be a dark comedy, but it's a fail for me. There are some movies that are clearly not masterpieces, but still manage to keep my attention and entertain me. But this two and a half hour soliloquy to death was slow and dry and an entire waste of $10. Perhaps some folks would appreciate this plodding adventure into boredom, but not me.

4.5 An incredible achievement in cinema. without a doubt it rivals All That Jazz by Bob Fosse for a director's self portrait. Jack is fantastically portrayed by Matt Dillon in this gripping masterpiece. LVT has outdone himself in arguably his best work to date. I think everyone who watches this will take something different away from it, which is awesome in creating conversation.

I regret paying to rent this, that's what I get for taking a recommendation from watchmojo. Never again. The movie wasn't scary or a good insight into the mind of a serial killer, just stupid. If you are looking for a movie like Zodiac or even a gore film, this isn't it. If you're looking for a movie to watch with friends and roast the film, maybe. It's hard to even recommend it for that because it takes you out of that place of mind by getting oddly philosophical, but not in any impactful way. Also apparently the director sympathizes with Hitler so don't support them.
