I have never much cared for Victor Hugo's sprawling, at times deathly dull (all those chapters about gothic architecture!) 'classic' of literature on which umpteen Hunchback films have been based. But, I have to hand it to him, his source tome has made some good flicks. This version, starring Anthony Hopkins and Lesley-Anne Down, is a good go and largely very faithful to the text.
