About this movie

One of the most celebrated movie series of all time comes to its thrilling conclusion in the last chapter of The Hunger Games. Jennifer Lawrence stars as Katniss Everdeen, who began her journey fighting to survive the brutal Hunger Games, and rose to lead the rebellion against Panem's tyrannical president (Donald Sutherland). Now, Katniss and a team of rebels from District 13 prepare for the final epic battle that will decide Panem's future.

If you were fortunate enough to have read the 3 books prior to seeing the movies you'll understand why I gave this a high rating. As I have seen many viewers complain about the ending, it sticks closely to the book as Suzanne Collins did in fact have much say in these movies and they really did stick to the story and not venture far away from the books. If you are seeing the movies before reading I truly am sorry for you. Albeit these movies are great you can never truly get to the heart of knowing each character and their motivations until you have read the novels and will probably not understand certain nuances of these wonderful characters. I thought they cast the characters extremely well. But in the end, watching a movie takes away from the character's thoughts and deep emotions. Jennifer Lawrence did an exceptional job in portraying Katniss Everdeen and gave such life to all of that poor girl's pain and misery. The scene at the end of the war was portrayed so well. It was just as difficult to watch as it was to read. It was gut wrenching. Coin was even more evil than Snow. The adaptation of the books to movies is the best I have ever seen. Remember this is merely my opinion.

From what I can remember (it's been a while), this half of Mockingjay is very true to the book. I'm actually glad they split it, especially so they could flesh out the meaning and impact of the ending in the last 20-30 minutes. That being said, I gave it 4 stars because the movie overall was a bit "meh", while the book reader enjoyed seeing it all pan out. The movies lost their emotional impact after the second, unfortunately. Jennifer Lawrence has A+ acting as usual, though.

Here is what I have to say about this movie. So first in the beginning, why would Katniss go in the same room with Peeta if he is trying to kill her. Also, why does it have to be so sad. Why did Prim have to die. Also, first, Peeta hates her, now he likes her. Choose one. And I am still confused, did Katness and Peeta get married and have kids because at the end, Peeta was playin with some little boy and Katniss was talkin to a baby. So did they get married or what. But I like how there is a happy ending.
