The Hurt Business details the lives of various MMA superstars, including Ronda Rousey and Jon Jones, competing in one of the fastest growing sports in the world and the struggles and triumphs that accompany all careers in cage fighting. Besides featuring a number of the sport's biggest names, such as Georges St-Pierre, Chuck Liddell or Tito Ortiz, and up-and-comers in the sport, the film covers the history of mixed martial arts fighting, from the coliseums of ancient Greece to modern day venues such as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, all expertly narrated by Kevin Costner.

Ratings and reviews

The Hurt Business is an ok watch. Only major issue I had with this is that some of the information is out of date i.e. new championships, fighters being suspended etc. Was interesting to delve into the psychology of some of the fighters and what tole it takes on them outside of the octagon. All I can say is that this was ok. I am not sure I could recommend it though, unless you have a deep love of the sport.

It's not really current, some of the content is from nearly 2 years ago, some interesting bits, not many fighters in it
