Vienna, 1990: Eisenheim (Norton) is a brilliant stage magician, the greatest illusionist Vienna has ever seen. This film is beautiful to look at. Compelling story. Edward Norton is brilliant but I am always won over by Paul Giamatti. Like him, we see the story from the outside and wonder how the magic tricks are done. Not an earth shattering twist at the end but nevertheless the best twist for this movie. At its heart it is a love story.

Really interesting, fun and good to watch. Well worth it.
